it is a CLEAN boost, with a tone switch on it for making single coils sound more like buckers...do a search on the forum, there are several reviews.

It also makes a great "front-end" to an effects pedal chain, if you run a bunch of pedals. It gives the pedals a bit more signal to play with.

Works well as a lead boost, or to make a clean amp break up....
