pickup for a tele

I want to put a jb. jr in a tele bridge pickup.
However, seymour duncan state this as a strat pickup.
Can i not use it in a tele? will it not fit? work?

it will work, but wont really fit. with some modification you can get the strat pup to fit but since the tele bridge pup attaches to the bridge plate with 3 screws and a strat pup attaches to the pickguard with 2 screws there are some mounting issues
