Considering you like hardcore (I won't share my opinions on the genre) I would go with probably a distortion, or maybe even a Live Wire heavy metal.

hey take this for FWIW but i recently heard the the evolution is the KING of clarity and crunch?
the guitarist that told me this used to be a 81 user exclusively and i know from hands on experience that the 81 has great clarity and intence crunch.
So if this evolution is even better :saeek:

I just got back from Sam Ash. I went with my original decision and swapped the Dimebucker for the Duncan Distortion. So I got the Hot Rails single coil and the DD. A review will be coming shortly.
