Pickup for classical guitar?

Re: Pickup for classical guitar?

Don't make me come across the bridge and slap you down! I'm sittin' in a Starbucks right off the crosstown!:eek13:

That's great for studios or "intimate" coffeehouse gigs, but I think our boy is laying down some seriously physical performance here, and swapping axes etc. Need to hard wire that bad boy!

This may be the longest runnig pups for an acoustic thread yet - anyone know?

Classical guitars are NOT condusive to Pete Townsend type windmilling:laugh2: Where do you live?

Re: Pickup for classical guitar?

didn't we once talk about putting a kahler in an accoustic since it didn't involve as much routing and stuff as a floyd? I'm still up for that if you ever figure out how to do it :)

Yeah, but the neck angle would pose a major issue, as would the strengthening of the top... I think with a Floyd I might be able to get by with repositioning a brace and using ultra longass springs ;)

Definitely gonna be a lot of trial and even more error before I get it right ;)

But if I DO, then we can just use Graphtech´s Ghost for Floyds that is in development and be done with the PU search :laugh2:

Ok - maybe a windmill is a bit extreme in flamenco terms....but flamenco is outta hand as far as clissical goes. It's all relative. I'm in Riverview. I work downtown near channelside.

That said, I'm gonna windmaill the yamaha this evening just to prove it can be done....
