Pickup for maple body, maple neck ESP M1 Tiger

What pickup would you recommend for an all maple guitar? It's for an ESP M-1 Tiger (maple body, maple neck and board). Looking for high output for hard rock and metal, and some progressive instrumental stuff. It has a Screamin Demon in it, but I'm not a fan of that pickup. Thanks in advance.

JB! JB! JB!

The tightness of maple definitely compliments the slight sponginess of the JB's lower mids.

If you need to tame some brightness, 250K pots can be cool with it.

I think a JB in an all maple guitar would be Ice Pick hell...but it could also sound amazing lol

JB and Dimebucker are the go to pickups for me for hard rock/metal...but I think they may be too bright for what you are looking for.

Perhaps a Black Winter or Invader?

I'd go for a Custom Custom to compensate for the dense highs of maple. You will need some thickness in the middle to overcome maple. If you want to get heavier and thicker, the Invader is the one to look at.

the cc is a great choice. tons of buttery mids that will work well with the sharp treble of the maple

Russ Parrish pulls off a JB in maple quite well. His Steel Panther tone is sick!
