Pickup help..building a guitar

Hey, i am thinking of building a warmoth guitar..http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/bodies/vw.cfm?fuseaction=flatop_vw
that body made of basswood

and that bridge

i think im going to put some Custom Customs in it and wanted to know if basswood would go good with it..and also if a regular custom custom would work cuz i know like dimarzio's sometimes need f-spaced pickups...I'm deciding between putting Tone Zones or Custom Customs..So can someone also describe the difference for me too?

also for a fixed bridge do you guys think the one i chose is a good choice?

Also, forgot to say..im left handed and play left handed..is there anything i have to do differently? ive never built a guitar or installed pickups myself before..

About the pickup spacing. That bridge has the same spacing as the Hipshot Hardtail bridge. Standard pickup spacing will work fine with it. If I remember correctly, you could use trem spaced also. With tremspaced, the stringss will line up on the inside of the poles and with standard, the strings will line up on the outside of the poles. Either way, the strings will still be over the poles.

From what I understand the CC has a crapload of mids, and that combined with basswood (also very middy) could be too....middy.
