Pickup Id help...

I was digging around in my parts shelves today and came across a single coil size pickup. I got it sometime ago in a trade and never used it I was curious as to what it actually is... Its a white dual blade pickup looks alot like the Dimarzio Fast Track 1's, Choppers etc.... Its 2 conducter... On the bottom it says "Keystone USA" on one side... on the other it says K-250... Is this a bill lawerence? Thats what I suspect it is... If it is, is it BillLawerence, BillLawerence USA, OBL or??? any help would be appreciated thanks.

Possible not sure... What happened was I traded for a guitar (Hamer Californian) purely cause it was a trade up in value and I could sell it and come out ahead to fund another project... It had this pickup in it and a Dimarzio which I always assumed was a super distortion... but also in the trade I got the stock pickups... When I sold the guitar i pulled these out and sold it with the stock ones... So really I guess thats a long way of saying.... Hmmmm not sure...

I think Keystone is a totally seperate Bill Lawrence entity.

It is my understanding that when Bill lawrence left the origanal company he formed a couple different ones. The current one is Wilde USA [ I think that is it] and one of the older ones was called Keystone. He is the one that makes the Bill Lawence pups and the Bill Lawrence USA are made by his old partner. My guess with out looking at it is that it would be a pickup of his. Are the rails real thin or are they a thicker rail?

I know exactly what it is, it is an authentic bill lawrence (www.billlawrence.com) L-250. If you know the resistance on it, Maybe we can also figure out what inductance it has. Bill stoped making the 250's a few years ago and I have seen then fetch a good price on ebay. The single rail 250's are the (Billlawrenceusa) 250's. Yours is the real article.

Cool thanks for the info... After you posted that I dug around ebay and found one that looks identicle to mine. You wouldnt happen to be the same Theodie selling the pickup on there would you? How do these pickups sound?

Fully agreed with the people above, it ll be a Bill Lawrence and most likely an L-250.
It s not a Kent Armstrong even if it looks a lot like it as you described, the KA Cool Rails do have the same look and come with 2-conductor as well, but it has completely different markings than the one you have. A Bill Lawrence it is in my opinion!
