pickup problem again

I recently got a 2007 Ibanez arc 100. I installed 2H Jazz (neck) and SH4 (bridge). It sounds great, yet when I change the pup switch, the neck and mid postition sound almost identical. Its like Im playing two necks and the bridge, no in between? Ive ran into this problem before and posted it here. The verdict was a bad wire. However I would like if someone could check my wiring and make sure at least that's right before I go and replace all the wiring. Heres the link...

http://www.ibanez.com/support/wiringdiagrams.aspx

I kept everything the same. For both new pups, I soldered/taped red & white wires, connected green and bare to the top of volume/tone, finally replaced the old red and white wire (on 3rd lug of volume and tone) with the new black wire.

Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Re: pickup problem again

Adjust the heighth of your pickups. Lower the neck pup, raise the bridge or do both. You'll have to play around with it a little till you get it the way you like.

Re: pickup problem again

I tried adjusting the height, even slanting the pickups, I still get the same result . I just need to know if my wiring is correct.

Re: pickup problem again

Simply check your output impedance with a DMM. If it reads the same in both positions, your wiring is faulty.

thats a smart way to start. the neck should be 8k, the bridge 16k the middle should be like 5.3k

all those numbers are approximate so +/- 1k isnt a big deal

put a short cable in the jack of the guitar and put the leads of the meter on the tip and sleeve of the other end of the cable
