Hi...
I wanna buy a jazz and a jb for my les paul.I like the gold covered ones.
Are they splitable like the regular pups???

By the way, i play blues(mostly srv), classic rock and jazz. And i like to shred too...
So should i buy something else or are these pickups okey for me???

Thanx:D

Welcome to the forum.

If they have 4 condctor wire, you can split them. Looks like you can get both those models in 4 conductor so you're good to go.

Yeah, that should be a sweet combo. The JB isn't for everyone though, so tell us what sorta music you listen too, the people here can match pickups to your musical taste very well.

Re: Pickup question...

I listen to alot of things...But i dont like the tone of most of the people i like...
I like srv but iv got a strat for that...
Brian May's tone is nice.Gary Moore's still got the blues tone is great too...
I'm actually a neck pickup guy...
But for the bridge, i guess i need a powerfull pup which has rich harmonics...
And the sound must be really clear even when distorted...

Thats all i can tell...

Re: Pickup question...

The JB is a nice choice and the Custom 5 would be very nice too for classic rock.

Good luck and welcome!:)

Re: Pickup question...

I think your first choice is a great combo and a great place to start. Especially if your a neck user and want nice harmonics from the bridge , you cant go wrong with the JB.
