Blackstar ht-5rh. 4x12 cabinet. sgr c-7. Passive pickups for sylosis style chugging and riffing. heavy chug but still articulate. The treble on the guitar is almost obnoxiously bright and loud. Although the guitar is very well balanced, I would like a tight but powerful low end with articulate lows and mids to cut through the thrash and djent style chugging. Sylosis has the EXACT tone I want. Listen to songs teras, fear the world, after lifeless years. etc. if I can get this tone out of a basswood guitar, I will buy any pickup. Was thinking about a JB but I don't know if its heavy enough. would a distortion take away too much of the articulation? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> listen
This is a good representation of the different qualities I'm looking for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtJu66QmEbA
Also, can either get the same heavy chug as the main riff in this song? (First part) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_RT0G4wWKg
