I have a Fostinis Matadaur, which is mahogany and maple with a 25.5" scale and 24 frets, and I have the Slash set. They're body mounted, no pickup rings. It sounds pretty awesome and EXTREMELY dynamic.

If you were thinking Dimarzio, try the Satch pickups. They're very articulate and sound very full.

Thats a sweet guitar. I don't have any alnico 2 pickups but definitely see myself owning some eventually.

just an fyi ~ unless U had a particular task for A2 ( like a Era Strat or some reason for neck pup with them ) There's just a Whole bunch of nice Alnico options Nowdays , imho
