Its a shame metallica's best album was the worst produced.

Edit: actually, death magnetic was produced the worst, but would still be the ****tiest album regardless of producing.

From a purely technical standpoint, how do you figure? To me, Death Magnetic (and I'm not talking in terms of music here) sounded just fine. If anything, I thought S&M was terribly mixed.

All the recordings clip. The guitar was too grainy too.

And yes S&M was mixed horribly.

If you listen to it, it's VERY fatiguing. It was produced to be so loud that it tires your ears out.

If you don't hear that (and I am NOT an audiophile by any means), you may have hearing damage of some sort.

I disagree. I think it sounds great, and I bought it back when it first came out on cassette.

I dunno dude, could be an age thing. Had no problem listening to death metal albums from beginning to end back when I was 16. Now, not so much.

the SH6 pair is already installed in my baritone... WOW, thanks for the help, I wired them the petrucci's way becouse I dont have a pair of push/pull pots around. but next week I'll get them to wire the baritone my way (normal gibson options + two pull/push for parallel/serial options)
