Pickup size question

Will a Gibson humbucker cover fit a Duncan pickup (neck to neck, bridge to bridge)??? These are 490R/498Ts, and I want to put these gold covers on a Seth Lover set.

Are the pickup coil screws compatible??

Why not just order your Seth's with gold covers fromthe beggining?

The 490R cover will fit. Gibson neck spacing is the same as 'standard' humbuckers from Duncan and Gibson's vintage stuff ('57 Classic, etc.). Gibson 'T' pickups (490T, 498T, 500T) are wider-spaced.

Yes, I may do that. I had a set of Duncan Seths and a set of Antiquitys that were going into a couple of other guitars. Somehow I wound up with a Les Paul Supreme with gold hardware, and was contemplating using one of the pickup sets I already had.

Doing things the easy way, isn't always the easiest! LOL!
