Pickup suggestions for gibson sg

I currently have a sg standard, with the stock 490r 498t pickups in. I am looking for a little more output and sustain, also a little more clarity with leads that sing, but capable of smooth distortion. I'm also looking for a lot of versatility for I play things from sparkling, yet warm cleans, blues, to classic rock, heavy rock, some ambient/indie stuff, some heavy metal, some vai, satriani-eqsue stuff (which is why i want more sustain for leads). I was thinking about either the sh-2jazz or pearly gates for the neck or the sh-4jb or the sh5 custom for the bridge. Would either of these suit my needs? Or should I look at something else? Thanks a bunch.

Re: Pickup suggestions for gibson sg

I use the Jazz neck and a Custom with an alnico 8 magnet in it in the bridge. I think it's a cool setup. Here's my view on some pickups in my sg:
490r: not bad, mushy under gain
59n: cool vintage vibe, but low end can get woofy in my experience
Jazz: my fave of the 3. chimey, almost single coilesque cleans and singing leads

490t: ick. Thin.
Custom 5: This is how I discovered the bridge pickup. As the website says, hopped up vintage. Loses clarity with a lot of gain though (ymmv)
Custom 8: Fattens up the whole sound spectrum, more power, more clarity, less vintage feel.
