Hey guys! I'm about to do a parts build and wanted to know what you guys think about pickups. It's going to be a basswood body maple neck Brazilian rosewood fret-board 24 frets and 25.5 inch scale and tuned in c# standard/drop b. I'm playing hard rock and metal (not djent though). was leaning towards the full shred set but wanted opinions.

I'd start with alder instead of basswood, tighter bass response and usually much more resonant wood, of course there are really good pieces of basswood and really crappy alder but usually alder is better at least for that type of music at least to my ears .
In terms of pups Full Shredd takes down tunning very well, EMG 81X also very good with down tunning not as steryle a regular EMG
