Pickup Trivia: Wanna play?

OK, scrolling in my stuff, I realized I recorded the same short rhythm track 4 times with 4 different pickups. Settings are fairly close, and I removed any effect from the software. Only level have been adusted to get the same vibe. One of them have slightly less gain I think, but it doesn't alter its tone.

Three of them are Duncans, one is a DiMarzio. The DiMarzio was recorded with a Cube 30 instead of my Tech 21 amp, yet I think it's close enough to the real deal to put it in the list. Pickup #4 is 1/2 tone lower (Eb) than the rest, sorry about that, I change the tuning sometimes.

So here they are:

Can you identify them? Which one do you prefer?

Hmm tough call Sly!
I think I liked#4 the most, something about the midrange is very nice, but then again I really had no dislikes either

Custom, C5, CC and DIMarzio Super Distortion.

I think 2 is the Super Distortion.

I liked the forth one most, but part of that was because you were in a better key. LOL

Ah! It's getting interesting now... but nobody as a single one right Keep going, I'll give the answers tomorrow.

It'll be interesting to see if people really hear what is alleged about all these pups. The sound is absolutely raw and unprocessed for this purpose.

Well, the participation level is nothing to write your mother about... what the heck, this was my first and last trivia

Hehe lol I used to have Super Dist back in the days, ran a strat in Eb with that one, still seems to like detuned guitars

I'm still really hooked on this one very underrated pup... "vintage rock" sound which also sounds awesome when slightly distorted. The Super Distortion got me the most Oh's and Ah's since I play the guitar.... I'm seriously thinking of slapping one in my Ibanez and maybe put my Custom (or CC) in another guitar. For rock, I think nothing touches it.

Yeah I am still thinking about getting one more, and do a magnetswap.
I am also getting a DiMarzio PAF, VHoholic made an amazing clip with one not so long ago, I still hope that he will post it.....it was a great sound.
