Pickup wiring Conundrum! (Epiphone to Seymour Duncan)

Hello!

I current have SD 59's in my ESP LTD EC 50 (2 Vol, 1 Tone, 3 way toggle) with the red and white wires connected together.
I intend to swap the pickups in my LTD to my Epi LP Standard Plustop Pro. I Have found wiring diagrams on the SD website, but when I opened my Les Paul up, the pots seem different.

All 5 wires from the probucker are crimped into one 5-pin connected that plugs into the Push/Pull Volume Pot. How do I connect my 59's to the les paul and my probuckers to the LTD?

Also, does epiphone use Gibson Color Codes for thier pickups?

I cut the wires just before the connector and stripped them, then connected them like this:

Black wire from the Duncan pickup to the (small) red wire on the plug
White wire from the Duncan pickup to the white wire on the plug
Red wire from the Duncan pickup to the green wire on the plug
Green wire from the Duncan pickup to the black wire on the plug
Bare ground from the Duncan pickup to the black larger gauge wire on the plug

After you get this wired and working, I'd like to know how you compare the probuckers with the '59.

Alright! I connected everything today. Everything works well! I've stung it up and have to set it up tomorrow

Well as of now its wired and working! Cant believe I put put this project on hold for 3 months because I thought I couldn't do it myself

From what I've played so far, the difference in huge. Tones are punchier and not muddled like the probuckers. Gain sounds are super saturated and the sustain leads into some kickass feedback when the amp is pushed hard. Couldn't be happier right now!

I've never directly compared, but I've got a LP with probuckers and they actually sound really good. Not at all like their previous Classic pups.

Are you sure the previous pups were the newer ProBuckers and not their earlier Classic and Classic+?
What does it say on the back of the pup? Got a pic?

Im pretty sure its the new probuckers. Although they are great sounding pickups, I didnt particularly enjoy the clean tone. The 59s are way hotter. I quite like that

This has me a little confused.
1) The Probuckers are a pretty clean sounding pup. That's the biggest improvement over the previous "classic" pups (and they are lower output).
2) The 59s are not a "hot" pup, let alone "way hotter" than any other humbucker. They are only about 8k ohms resistance and about 575 mV output. They are on the lower end of the output scale.

Absolutely. You can use the same scheme for the neck pickup too. Just remember that the bare is black on the bridge, and white on the neck. The scheme is bare goes to bare (of course), green goes to black, black goes to red, white goes to green, & red goes to white. When you clip and strip the old harness wires, you'll see which ones are the bare ones underneath the insulation casing. I just did it yesterday. After splicing, I soldered the connections to keep them connected.
