Pickup Wishlist

Re: Pickup Wishlist

Production '78 or EVH model, and even better also going into production a mini humbucker version of it too

Re: Pickup Wishlist

Hmm i wld like to see a variation in the JB, the same mids, and lower end but with a litle les of the spike.
another wld be a JB with a ALNICO 2 mag.

I think this one is worth repeating. I'd like to see more "rails", across the board. Singles and 'buckers. :)

I love the full shred the way it is but, a tad more bass would make it my favorite ever.

Yeah and I'd be extremely hesitant to change it, and I love it when I'm working with another guitarist or bassist ... but when it's just you an a drummer know need to find some way of pushing the bass frequencies without getting mud

The Hot Rails is NOT, I repeat, NOT a "Minihumbucker".

Firebird and LP Deluxe pickups are minihumbuckers. :smack:

I too want the '78 model to be a production pickup. :burnout:

I'm sorry. the Hot Rails are not a mini-humbucker. It's a "single-coil sized humbucker."

I didn't realize we were going to nickpick at such trivial things. :)

Hey, tell me more about the '78 model.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

A Hot TwangBanger and/or Hot Twangbanger Tapped but without the name Twangbanger.
Perhaps call it
The Super Alnico II Pro Single Coil for Strat
.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

Custom/JB hybrid. The aggressiveness of the Custom with the sweetness of the JB. You know, kind of like a Ferrari's purr/roar.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

A pickup with FLAT EQ (is there such thing as a flat EQ?) that is ready to be EQ-ed.

That being said, I want an EQ system like so many basses have.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

Well, I'll say this much: It seems like a lot of players want full-sized rail humbuckers. So I think SD needs to get on the stick with this one.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

A humbucker sounding more like a single coil (Humbucker from hell like...)
A rails SC size humbucker in between the Vintage rails and the cool/hotrails (though this may already exist? I'm just not sure)
A 'quick' connect system that'd work for pots and switches too.

Re: Pickup Wishlist

A slightly underwound '59 neck would do it for me.

And put me on the list for the "rails option" as a floor custom. There are times when rails would be cooler than poles in a humbucker for certain guitars but I don't want 'em enough to pay the full CS pop for them.

There needs to be a 9.5-11.5K bucker besides the Demon. Or the EVH should become production. Also, More buckers with rails!!!!

+1 also a hotter wound C5, just like Gearjonser made :32:

Re: Pickup Wishlist

pickup wish list?
hmmm... how about a nashville 5-2 with flat or flushed pole pieces?
or maybe even reverse staggered pole pieces?
