Pickups and body styles.....NGD

Hi y'all, I've run amongst a bout of impulsive G.A.S. and picked up another guitar while amp shopping tonight. Got me a Schecter Diamond (mid-90's Korean), it sports a JB bridge and '59 neck PUs, but it's not as ballsy and powerful sounding like my Epi LP rebuild with the SH-6 Distortion bridge and APII neck. Are the LP's pickups just "hotter", or is the body style influencing the tone......or both?

As far as adding pics........do I need to use the image icon here, or can I post a pic using the IMG selection from Photobucket?

Both! But keep in mid that the SH-6 sounds much more powerful than the JB and that the A2Pro is thicker than the Jazz.

I posted another thread specifically about the SH-6/APII sound, I'm getting the feeling already that this is the route I should go with the new guitar. There's just "something" about having more "presence" at lower volumes that's cool for the casual living room player.
