I finally got all my parts and I decided to go SSL-1 rwrp
, SSL-1 (m) and Brobucker in the bridge! It's amazing how those little springs make it so difficult to screw in the humbucker. It took 10 minutes to get the 2 single coils in, and 45 minutes to get everything with the springs to comply for the BB. I'm hoping the neck is supposed to have the rwrp in HSS for hum cancelling, and I'm looking forward to putting it all back together
My only problem is is that my replacement covers don't quite line up perfectly for the SSL-1s. I'm not sure if it's because fender covers have an oddball size, or if that's just the nature of the beast, or what. The look isn't going to change too much (although pics of my strat will go up when all is said and done), however I'm hoping the tonal properties will really liven up compared to the tex-mex diamondback combo. Thanks to all who voted!
