Pickups for 335

Hi

Have a 335 that is relatively new. Want to change pickups to get Clapton/Cream era sound, ALvin Lee etc. Have heard about the 59's. Any comments or suggestions?

Your best choices are:

1. Antiquities ( my favs)

2. Seth Lover's

These are the Sh#ts when it comes tro that tone. Possibly '59's.

jeff has it nailed more or less ... as long as you arent playing with alot of gain, the ants or seths will sound gorgeous in that guitar ... they are unpotted, so there is a possibility of microphonic 'squeeling' feedback when you play with alot of gain/volume ... 59s are potted, and as such are much more resitant to microphonic feedback ... they'd sound pretty d@mn good for that kinda sound in that guitar too ...

One other possibility that could be nice would be the Alnico II pros. The before mentioned pickups are great choices also.
