pickups for a gibson sg

Hi
What pickups would be suitable for the bridge and neck for playing metal/hardcore while still having a nice clean tone?

I was thinking maybe a custom or jb to go in the bridge but dont know what pickup would be suitable to complement them in the neck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

JB, Custom, and Distortion will all work in the bridge

I recommend a '59 or Jazz for the neck

any combination of neck/bridge with those pickups should blend nicely

JB/Jazz. An Invader/Jazz combo may work too. How low do you tune?

My 1st choice would be a Jazz neck and 59 Bridge.
The Jazz / JB combo is always popular, as well.

the A2P sounds great in the neck, and it has this sort of creamy sound to it, even when it distorts, and I love it. Probably my favorite pickup. In the bridge, people suggest a CC to go with it, but I haven't tried that one out for myself. a JB would do you well, too.

Me too. A set of 59's would be my pick. Very close to the pickups in the Clapton/Cream, AC/DC and Black Sabbath SG's.

sorry for bumping this back from the dead, but does anyone have any more suggestions for achieving the kind of sound in the attached links of my last post? right now im thinking of the sh-5 custom in the bridge and the sh-1n '59 in the neck. would these pickups fit nicely together? thanks.

JB gonna work fine for thrice....
JB/Jazz neck is tseymours favourite combo

Go with the JB. Teppei (lead guitarist) from thrice uses that as his main pup. i think he uses stocks on his backups.
