Pickups for a HS Strat

Hello everyone

I have an HS guitar that needs new pickups. Is an old Fender Strat (99).

Its got a poplar body and a rosewood board.

I need some suggestions for and HS set (HB on the bridge SC in the neck). I mainly play rock and metal, but some times I got into jazz mode.

Can you help me?

For rock and metal bridge, I'd go Dimarzio CrunchLab. I put this into my aria strat and that thing is awesome! Such clarity even with full distortion, and chunky palmmuting. My reccomendation. And it has FAAAT output. Also, harmonizes extremely well with Ernie Ball Cobalt strings.

A Custom 5 or '59/Custom Hybrid could be a good choice for the bridge pickup that can do rock or metal, but still be passable for Jazz. You'll probably need to order it in Trembucker string spacing.

For the neck pickup, two questions: do you want it to be hum-canceling? And are you looking for a traditional Strat sound?

a Custom 59 in the bridge and an Injector in the neck. My 2 cents. Injector=pretty great sc sounds clean and crunchy and sweet lead. 59/hybrid = versatility and great rock sound
