Pickups for a Jackson JS1

I have a Jackson Js1 and I am thinking of putting new pickups in. I primarily play metal and I want your opions because I really don't know much about pickups.

No...it's alder bodied, bolt on maple/rosewood neck, 22 frets, 2 bucker's, vintage style trem.

I'd say to just change the bridgepickup right now, if anything. But first, you need a better amp.
