Pickups for Appetite Slash Tone

Hi everyone,

I've been listening to a lot of GNR lately, and I've rediscovered Slash's AMAZING tone on Appetite for Destruction. I was wondering, what pickups besides Slash's signature set are good in a Les Paul or SG to get his tone on that album?

They're probably very similar anyways? The Slash Set I think is basically just a customized A2Pro set.

The story is that Slash used the Alnico II Pro for Appetite, and then designed his signature pickup to get his road guitars to sound closer to that tone. Either of the 2 pickups will get you there, though. A hat helps.
