Hello everyone,
I own an Epiphone ES175 (reissue, not the premium).
It is an awesome guitar that I love to play but the pickups just aren't 'it'.
I already own a P90 equipped jazzbox that really gives me that Scotty Moore kind of sound,
but when playing in a little rougher musical environment I want to have some historically correct humbucker PAF pickups for my ES175
that sound nice and full in the mix but not getting messy or muddy. I like to play very clean, but also use really really light overdrive on my amp.
The main music genre I play is Rockabilly and Rock and Roll from the fifties,
and I once saw this video of Jeff Beck with his ES175, which is exactly the sound I am looking for.

I am looking for this sound, but don't know which pickups to get.
Alnico 2 or Alnico 5?
I was thinking of maybe a set of A5 Duncan 59 pickups, or maybe a set of A2 gibson 57's.
What are your recommendations?
Cheers!
