Pickups for Ibanez IC400

I'll be buying an Ibenz IC400 soon, and I'm wondering what kind of pickups I should put in it. I don't want EMG's, so I've been recomended Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio, but wich one of them should I buy? And what model? Or should I buy another brand?

NOTE: I don't care about clean sound at all, I just want a killer tone so I can thrash till death,

EMG's, Duncan and Dimarzio will all have pickups that will give you a tone so you can thrash, we need a bit more info to really recomend, Guitars wood? whats your amp?, what sort of music/any bands you particually like the tone of? etc.

Hell if thrashing is all you wanna do stick to the stock pickups LOL

What kind of amp are you playing thrpugh? What is the constrtuction/materials of your guitar? What kind of sound fdo you want?

I'm playing thru a Kustom KGA65 and this is the specs of the guitar:

Body: Mahogany
Fingerboard: Bound Rosewood
Frets 22
Inlays: Parallelogram
Machine Heads: Chrome
Neck Joint: Set Neck
Neck Material: 3 piece Maple
Pickups:IBZ AH1 (H) Neck, IBZ AH2 (H) Bridge

I'm aiming for a thrashy old-school sound, but not to mody. Some albums that have killer sound (but not similar):

Satyricon - Volcano
Candlemass - Nightfall
Celtic Frost - To Mega Therion

I could mention more if people want to. Thanks for all the replies.

I'm not familiarwith those bands, sorry. I like the Duncan Custom for an aggressive sound that can do a lot of different things well. The Duncan Distortion is a good choice if you need more output with bigger, more aggressive highs and tight lows.

the tone in Satyricon's Volcano is a PRS... :laugh2: Mayhem's Chimera has a very good guitar tone as well...

i suggest you stick to EMG for the best, high gain tone. if you fancy a Duncan, listen to Emperor's live album & hear what a JB can do. good luck...
