with a wilkinson trem a trembucker at the bridge will line up perfectly with the strings and a normal humbucker will line up at the neck.

As far as the rings, I haven't found any replacements that fit a Carvin without looking weird.

VanStone2, what did you do with the mounting rings of your carvins when you've changed the pups? Modified them like Benjy or found a good replacement? Did you drill any holes? Did you expand the roots for the Rio pups?

Can you post some pics of your Carvins? + some closed shots of the installed pups... :wave:
