Pickups for SG Custom?

I recently posted a picture of a three pickup SG with a Maestro Vibrola in another thread. That got me thinking about routing an Epiphone G-400 like an SG Custom.

I was wondering what pickups y'all would recommend. I'm looking on using Lindy Fralins or other smaller brands in this build just as a way to branch out and try more boutique winders. But here's what I'm going for:

Neck: A5 or A4 humbucker. Slightly scooped. Modern but can still do vintage. The SD I would go to for this is a Sentient

Middle: P90, preferably noiseless.

Bridge: Looking for thick mids, less prominent high end. Kinda like a Brobucker.

*Don't suggest Sentient/Phat Cat/Brobucker, I have that in my Black Beauty. And don't forget about SGs having the neck humbucker in a different spot. Side question, can a dual gang pot fit in an SG?

Re: Pickups for SG Custom?

I understand not knowing a middle pickup, but does anyone got any ideas for a neck and bridge?

Re: Pickups for SG Custom?

maybe a whole lotta humbucker for the bridge if you dont wanna go custom shop? spec wise the slash might fit the bill too but ive never tried one in one of my guitars. as far as a middle noiseless p90, ive never tried one i liked or would recommend.

Re: Pickups for SG Custom?

I just got to looking at the SD Custom Shop and found some pickups I've never tried before, I figure I best try them before I move to other brands. What about the S-Deco bridge? Has anyone here tried. If so, let me know what magnet you ordered it with as well.

Re: Pickups for SG Custom?

So I've done some further looking, and the Sentient neck, A5 S-Deco combo looks pretty cool. Mean 90 still the only recommendation for the middle?
