pickups for skynyrd

hi:i have a epi les paul classic with a galaxy 10 amp.what pup's would work for skynyrd [gary rossington]sound.amp settings would also help.I also would like to have covered pickups. thanks for your help

I had a set of PGs in my Les Paul for a while and they always reminded me of Skynyrd, clean and dirty.

Anything that's based on the 50's paf design: Seth Lovers, 59's, PG's, Antiquity's...don't forget to play badly and sing out of tune! (LOL!) Lew

actually watching the movie free bird allen collins did most of the soloing with an explorer w/ mini hums. they sounded awesome. you might check them out... they'll look kinda funny in your LP but i think it would be pretty cool. really original sound... i;ve been wanting a mini hum guitar

For Skynyrd tones out of a humbucker I would say the Seth Lovers are perfect.
