pickups in telecaster model

I recently bought this telecaster model (body=ash)
and I have this shaller 2 humbucker in the neck, but it sounds a little too muddy for me. and I have the JB in the bridge but I find that it could use a little more bass. I 'm still trying to get to the "slash" sound. in a LP, an aph1 in the neck and a CC in the bridge is reommended, but will this work in this guitar? won't this be too muddy (btw I love midds) or have to much output?

The JB has plenty of bass...a little tighter and deeper than the CC, IMO. But I love the CC! Try a CC bridge and AIIPro neck. Both have plenty of mids. Lew

it sounds like it will be a little different, only because of the woods used in the guitar, but still very good. I love the solo tones slash gets using the custom shop verions of the APH II
