pickups lean over to one side

Hi, I recently installed a new set of pickups in a Ibanez RG model. While the old pickups stays parallel to the strings, this new pickups, I don't know why, leans over to one side. In other words, the humbucker of the bridge is nearest to the strings in the coil next to the bridge, and so the Neck PU.
Could this change the tone? What can I do to solve this?

Put a thick piece of foam or sponge under the pickup. That might help. I'll sometimes use that gray sponge that comes in the Duncan pickup box for that. You can fill the pickup rout or double or tripple it up and use it just in one area of the rout to prop up the side that is tipping. Lew
