pickups look like POO! (need tape)

My pickups have been modded and unsoldered and resoldered and magnet-swapped to high heaven.

They have wrong kind of tape on them too, so they don't look so hot. One is wrapped in black electrical tape (I got that one from a fellow forumite).

I need to know what kind of tape our lovely duncans come wrapped in. Not just the black tape, but the thin tape used to protect the solder joints as well. I much appreciate it.

Thanks...anyone know about the amber-colored tape protecting the solder joints?

Why not try the plastic covers (so they look like EMGs or Blackouts). Its a great way to hide messed up pickups or dodgy colors or whatever, although if you aint a fan of active looking pickups you wont like it lol
