Pickups sound really good!

I put a Lil' Screamin' Demon in the neck of my Player Strat, and I paired it with a Lil' '59 in the bridge. I'm very happy with the sound. My Player Strat sounded not wide enough. Just a little too small and narrow sounding.

So I figured I would put these pickups in which have been sitting in my box for probably about 10 months.

I would recommend this combo.

glad you like that setup! seems to me like they would work well together

How would you compare each pickup? And how do they sound different than the stock ones?

To mu ears, the Lil 59 sounds warm and full with good mids (not at all like the full-sized 59). I haven't tried the Lil Demon myself, but I've heard that it sounds very much like the full-sized big brother. If that is indeed the case, then the Lil Demon should sound amazing in the neck (the Demon is one of my very favorite neck pups). In my opinion, the Demon has a very balanced tone...tight bass, good mids, and strong/tight highs but not harsh. Kinda like a stronger Jazz.

The Lil' Screamin' Demon sounds very much like its full size counterpart. Sounded great in the neck of my Les Paul. It has a vintage-like single-coil type tone which is what I want in the neck for soloing.

It's kinda close to what I had in there which was the Classic Stack Plus (which I liked for the most part), but the Demon just has a little more punch.

I would have to disagree with what is written on the Duncan site where he says the Lil' '59 will inject the sound of a Les Paul into your Strat. I really don't hear that. What I hear is simply a pickup that's gotta little wider tone overall than the Hot Stack Plus. It really sounds quite good.

Hope that helps.
