Pickups, tubes, BOSS

Gibson Burstbuckers! #3 and #1. I removed gold covers, and I wax potted them. Black Bobbins... and I can re-attatch the covers no problem. I also swapped in an alnico 5 in the BB3 to tighten it up a little bit. I can put the A2 back in or just send the A2 mag with it. BB1 has cover removed and is wax potted... can also put cover back on.

I potted them as per Lindy Fralin's instructions 85% parafin, 15% bees wax.

Asking $60 each or $100 for the pair.

Groove Tubes 6550C matched pair. Were only 1 mV apart on my meter. Liked my G.E.s better. Asking 40 for the pair. Only a couple hours on them.

Boss PS-5. Like new, no issues. Concentric pot is a lil tight, not a bad thing.
Asking $85

Re: Pickups, tubes, BOSS

I am looking for the following trades: Seymour DuncanCustom (any of em... doesn't matter!) in black or Zebra, Bill Lawrence L500XL, Single Coils, P-90s, EL34s, Speakers, flanger pedal. Thanks!

Re: Pickups, tubes, BOSS

I don't know if they can be used instead of 6L6... you would have to check current draw and stuff. The 6550s I have are a 10, which means they are UBER clean lol.

Re: Pickups, tubes, BOSS

are the 6550's basically able to be used instead of 6L6's?

no - they're similar in structure to EL34 tubes (pentode) - many EL34 amps can be converted back and forth between EL34 and 6550 with ~$20 in parts (if the 6550 will fit in the chassis)

I have a Custom/59 hybrid for sale that I would trade for the BB3

Re: Pickups, tubes, BOSS

I have a pair of Svetlana EL34s that test within 1mV of eachother, not even fully burnt in like new. PM me a trade offer if you need them
