now that i got the sound i want, i'm changing the look. i'm trying to get rid of all the white plastic. Any ideas on how to alter the color of the pickups? I'm thinking of maybe some kind of tape to cover them. any input, ideas or pics of things you did to give yours that one of a kind look would be greatly appreciated. neckpup-lil59, mid-stock, bridge-hotrails.

Not much you can do for the lil' 59 other then buying a new one, but you can buy a black strat pickup cover for the mid pickup.

Re: pics customizing my strat need input

Most importantly, replace the current p/g with a mirror/chrome p/g (Sharp Concepts, Q-Parts...)
Pickups with need to have uniform covers... not sure how you're going to do this but it needs to be done.

After this, it's going to look like a killer!

The chrome on your guitar does not go well with the tortex. Once you have the pickup and pickguard replaced your guitar will have a lot less colour mis-match and score higher on the slick factor.

Thats a really nice strat, and thats the same color sceme and pickguard that I want to have done on my MIM fender Jazz bass, I've put a badass II bridge and antiquity II pickups and hipshot tuner with a drop D as well
