PICS: My best pedal setup to date.

1st i got rid of basically everything including my old pedal board! The I added pedals ONLY as I found a need for them. I would play and think really hard about what I thought was missing or what do I keep reaching to step on?

This is what I came up with below.
I have 2 flavors of OD/Distortion. A Boost for clean and solos, wah Delay and a phaser. that's all folks!

Plus I just LOVE this pedal train 2 board! It's the greatest thing ever!!!

Enjoy!

Nice. How do you like the Lava Box? I have yet to personally try a Seymour Duncan pedal. All I have on the floor is the amp switch and wah. My tuner and a Boss Super OD always on sit on top of the amp.

I'm experimenting with the OD always on thing, thanks to Lew. The drive is all the way down, level around 10 o'clock to noon, tone to taste. Then I'm backing off the volume on the guitar to lighten it up and turning it up for more. So far, so good. The less I have to step on, the better. :)

nice Greg, its the cleanest that I've ever seen it. It seems to fit you well also. And it sounded great at the gig on Sunday. :approve:

Nice. Is that a Silver Kiss?

Any secrets to the Lava Box? I haven't been digging it so far. (Admitedly, I'm an amp gain and fuzz pedal guy, not a distortion box guy, but still...)

Well pay no attention to the way my LB is set right now. I noticed after the pic was taken that my knobs were totally bumped.

My favorite setting is to set the rumble anywhere between 4 and 6. Take the volume knob to 2 o'clock and the gain knob to like 7 or 8 o' clock- nearly no gain dialed in whatsoever.

That gives a real fat, meaty, very mean, balls to the wall sound. It really makes a Tele w/ a 6.77k PUP through a BF fender sound like a monster!!

BTW... the silver box is one I made myself.

Sweet!

I'm surprised about the small stone...just needed a change there Greg?

:laugh2: Ahh ok. I'm thinking of ditching my NYC pedalboard for a smaller pedaltrain. All I have on my board these days is a wah, a tuner, my loooper, a dc brick, and my channel switcher for the Splawn. I need to make a decision on all my pedals as well.

Re: PICS: My best pedal setup to date.

I highly recommend getting rid of everything that you aren't completely attached to and start from scratch. That is what I did and couldn't be happier. I can actually grab all of my stuff in one trip now.

(dont get me wrong...it is a strain, but it sure beats carrying 300 pounds worth of stuff in and out!)

I think I'm heading that way. I have a whole box full of pedals that never get used.
