My Les Paul and Strat just jumped outta their stands, and ran to take a closer look at the computer monitor!!! haha
How much for one of those? What power tubes ended up sounding the best in it?

I ended up going with Groove Tube KT66HP's. They ended up costing a bit more than the Chinese, but they just sounded better.
$850 plus shipping. Might have to bump that up if I keep having to go with the Groove Tube KT66HP's.
It also sounds pretty good with EL34's and a weber solid state rectifier. You can't see it, but on the inside there is a switch that changes bias resistors depending on running EL34 or KT66's.
Davey, the Bitch Switch needed to go on the back as I am kinda out of room on the front. It's just a little gain boost. Someone will likely end up probably leaving it in one position most of the time depending on taste.

My goal is to keep these things affordable. The more stuff I add, the more work I have to put into it, time equals money thing.

For what it's worth, I now understand why all you Marshall-heads get off on this tone. The entire Bluesbreaker KT66 thing never really interested me that much.

Scott, how similar is the sound to the Dr. Z Route 66 you had? Same type of amp, I presume? How would you describe the gain on the B1tch setting? Like a JCM 800? How tight are the lows with your Les Paul?

Alex has been incredibly patient, but he promised to do so when we first got started. Lot's of little parts issue that had to get worked out.
