Re: Pics of my Bonamassa Fuzz Face/Crybaby set
They do sound awesome. Now that I've had a week to use them daily, I'm finding that I like the Bonamassa FF more than the Jimi FF. The Jimi is more distorted and aggressive in the highs and mids. The JB FF is mellow, fat, and smooth - more musical than buzzy.
The wah has a nice smokey bluesy voice, if I were to compare it to a human voice. I hate trying to describe wah's. I'm glad it doesn't sound exactly like one of the settings on my Fulltone Clyde Deluxe.
I plan to use these a lot, and may even swap out my Jimi for the JB Fuzz Face. They're definitely not going to sit in boxes as collectibles. I'll use them anytime I want. I just want to take care of them. I don't mind some patina, but the copper could get ugly really easily with sweat dripping on it.......not a good patina look.
I'm still debating whether or not to grab the Eric Johnson Fuzz Face. They aren't cheap, but there's a small window of opportunity to own these.
