Pics of my new Wolfgang

Re: Pics of my new Wolfgang

The D tuna is a bit of gimick at the moment. It works, but it's not accurate enough.
It is a simple matter to make it to be in tune, don't change stringbrands too much, otherwise you will have to adjust it again:)
Very nice guitar indeed.
Looks great and congrats.....and the greenery looks like it needs a shave;)

Re: Pics of my new Wolfgang

Thanks chaps,

I'll have to ask you D-tuna pro's the secrets to making it work well once I get over how friggin' superb the neck is on this thing.

Bar chord work is effortless on this thing. I used to think "fighting" a neck while your playing was the only way to make good music. Not any more.

Just to be sure, I grab my Ibanez RG550, 570 with emg's and the Charvel 750XL and played them a bit. I switched back to the Wolfie and, well, they are all going to new homes. I think you get to a stage as a guitar player that it's hard to own and play average instruments, I guess it probably has something to do with increased disposable income and spending years with guitars that weren't exactly right for you. Right now, I wouldn't mind another 2 wolfie's for a breed neck in the bridge and for emg's.

The only thing that I don't like is the pickup selector switch position. It's get's in the way when I'm tapping higher on the neck. I'll probably get a smaller switch. I'll also be changing the bar to a trem arm with a collar like the schaller (I've been told it's a straight bolt in swap with no mods).

Overall, it's better than any words I can come up with. I used to wonder why alot of the seasoned pro's around Sydney play these things.....
