Here a pic of my Rig

This resides in place of The Trace Elliot on my cab but its so reflective it was the only thing that shows up when it was on the cab while atking the pic

I like to wear these when practising loud!!!

CAn anyone honestly say that that strsat looks good?
I really dont like the way it looks, as im really assing for a strat right now i thought why not do up this one , i was gonna go with a maple neck from warmoth to replace that one and mabye a new pickguard to fit a full 59 or pearly Gates and 2 singles..I hoped you guys could suggest something i could do to improve how my strat looks..I really do not want to re-finish it so do you know any clever interesting ways to change its looks..

I still havent got down to planning out building my 2x12 but hope to get to it soon..

Put a black pearloid pickguard on it, that'd look sweet!

You have a really killer rig there!! Are you happy with how it sounds? All you need now is a nice pedalboard, or a homemade one (Bob Villa more than Bob Bradshaw), and you'll be set!

Nope your dead on, it does look like a F***IN toy in reality too..But doesnt painting it mean basically re-finishing??


Yeh deadskin it sounds killer, the cleans are great and the overdrive sounds great at about 4 upwards, at bedroom levels tho the overdrive is definitly lacking..And im thinking in selling all the pedals as i never use them,mainly because they're just to much effort to setup and i can only use 2 at a time so the only effect i use is wah(or should i say have plugged in), and i never spent much time experminting with the eq but it nice to know i have it :laugh2: ..So if i was ever going to use effects i'd get the G-Major as i could switch my amps channels with that too..

I agree with the different pickguard idea. It's cheaper and eeasier than refinishing the guitar.

Is there any way i could put some kind of material over the body and if so what would suit..I really honestly cant think of anything..

Hey Stevo....I recognize those pickups!

You know what I was thinking about doing at one point? Buying an old beat up strat copy and letting my daughter plaster the thing with stickers.....whatever she wanted. She's kind of grown out of that stage, but I still think it's a cool idea for a project. Pick a wierd pickguard that fits the motief.....then get the stickers. Pick a theme, go random...whatever. Music stickers, favorite comic character...anything.

Easy and fairly cheap.

Lol yeh..Ive actually grown to like the Screamin demon again after playing it again after seting up the strat alot better than it was...But im gonna go with a hum but not sure yet as i dont find a humbucker as astesetically pleasing as a single coil, i love the sound of the ducks though, they actually have a very acoustic guitar sound but id prefer the look of traditoinal singles..but the pups are for later


I dunno about the stickers i was gonna try go for a more vintage look and i doubt a sticker a spiderman is very "vintage" per se...

I was just looking at SRVs strat and i'd love that type of look to it, but i really dont want the hassle of a re-finish so putting some kind of material,which could add a different look too e.g.a 3d sort of look but at the mo i have no ideas of what to do..

Ok heres an idea i had on the kiskea site..Im gonna see if Warmoth would do a
pyramid on the 12th fret and have nothing else on the fretboard..

Oh and the F-holes just gonna be a viynal(sp?) sticker or other material that works well for it..
