PIMPED MY AMP! (Marshall 2204 Clone)

Remember this amp? It's the 2204 clone I built a few years ago. I had my Father build the original head cab. I gave him my specs over the phone. He did a good job, But put his own artistic spin on it ? ( Let's just say... I wasn't in love w/t it):eyecrazy: So for this years 1st project, I revamped it more to my liking.:D 1st I got some Sweet planks of Western Pennsylvanian Cherry wood (finished natural w/t Tru-oil) a doweling kit,Skill saw & some Brown tolex. (Sorry , No pics where taken during the Tolexing ) A major PITA ! and my hands where to sticky to touch a camera.

Nice job! Where did you get the kit for the amp? I've been thinking about doing an amp build for a while. How difficult was the overall build up?

I got the turret board from www.metroamp.com but the rest of the parts ,Chassis , tranies and etc. where sourced from other vendors. This was my 1st build, And all I can say is it was easier than my 3rd build ( A Princeton reverb AA1164 clone) If your handy with a soldering iron,Meticulous in following direction And most importantly comfortable with working around 400+ DCV ?? I imaging you might have the aptitude to build one of these. Most importantly,Don't Electrocute yourself. Work slow ! Enjoy your work. It's a marathon, not a sprint. :D

Nice job!

Guys. You have to hear this amp in action. I've played through it at rehearsal and it's an incredible amp. Real-Deal Marshall tone & "Balls Deluxe!"
