Pinch Harmonic Pitch

Sorry if this is an insult to anyone's playing ability including my own, but I don't understand how to achieve certain pitches when I'm applying artificial (pinch) harmonics. I don't know if certain pitches come naturally when I hit the string(s) at certain places or not.
Just to give an example, lets say G string 11th fret (F#) and my target pitch is an A#, how would I achieve the A#?
Just to add to that question, besides gain on an amp and certain guitar pickups, would anything technical about my amp or guitar such as strings, tubes/type/no tubes, amp speaker, guitar volume knob, wiriing, etc have an effect on the pitch of my pinch harmonic.

Hit different spots on the string to get a different pitch. Closer to the bridge = higher pitch.

I find that they're easier to achieve with alot of mids, and with the action raised. Tube amps always get better harmonics (of all kinds) for me. Also, if you can still apply the right vibrato, heavier strings tend to help. Keep in mind, none of this affects the pitch, just how easy it is to hit the harmonic.

The harder you dig into the string the better the harmonic will come out. ......

I agree on all but this.... While I used to also find it easier when i dug in more, on my Jacksons and GIbsons it´s the exact opposite (actually I´ve found this to be more or less universal to high end guitars, PRS, ESP, Anderson....): If i dig in, it gets harder, but with a light touch they just fly.

Could of gourse also be my playing, but I know of a few others that feel similarly

One of the attractions of pinch harmonics for me is not really knowing what I'm going to get.

Pinchin' a harmonic is like pinchin' a loaf. U got to know when to squeeze, how hard to squeeze, & how fast to squeeze.

I was always under the impression that every note had its sweet spot, below the fretboard over the pickups. I'll have to try the stuff that you guys posted, thanks for the info. However, when it comes to digging into the string, that is one thing that I never pay attention to. I always try and make sure that the tip of my thumb lightly hits the string after I pick it. Considering it that way, would digging in be how hard I graze the string with my thumb or how hard I hit it with the pick?
