Placement of effects in a chain??

I have a question about placement of a few different pedals in an effect chain line. First I am wondering about a boss octave pedal. My instinct is to place it first in the cahin. On guitar geek, I have seen it placed first and last in the chain.

the second is fuzz pedals. First were do you all that use a fuzz pedal place it in relationship to a wah pedal. Second, if you were to use a fuzz pedal and pedals like a ts-9, or a ds-1 would you place it before the fuzz, or after.

Any idea's will be apreciated.

Most fuzz pedals don't like buffers in front of them, so if you are using a distortion pedal that uses a buffered, rather than true, bypass, you'll want to run the fuzz in front of it.

I was always told FUZZ needs to come before the wahs. Over drives can come before or after (each has a different unique sound when the wah is on). I think the octave should come before the overdrive, but play around and make your own opinion. Trial and error is the only way you are gonna find your sound.
