Play, Keep or Wood Chipper?

y'know, I think it's the lack of pickguard. If you put a black pickguard on those they might not look so awful.

ugh, do they come in other colors?

Sure, I hated this finish the most

Play the Tele (but the volume is in the worst place)
Keep the V (everything I need plus ergonomics)
Chip the Les Paul (don't need one just for the stripes, unless you tell me Seymour himself wound special pickups for it)

I'd keep the LP - it's the only one that doesn't look like a toddler with a chisel had a go at it.
Chip the tele (fuck teles) and that leaves me having to play the V by default.

That's not Frankenstien!

Scott Ian's striped V

You're having a laugh, two of these have already been through the wood chipper.

Chip Tele immediately.

Tempted to keep the V because I don't have anything else that ticks all those boxes, but who am I kidding, no way I would dig playing it more than once.

Keep LP, give it a decent paint job.

I'd keep the LP to repaint it. I never understood owning something so closely identified with another player, though.

Chip all of them. I love EVH's playing, but I find the cultish aspects of his fanbase both disturbing and detrimental to appreciation of that period of rock guitar as a whole.

The Scott Ian edition is freaking TOUGH!!!!!

First of all, I REALLY dig reports on "wrong" guitars. The V and the Tele are bad@$$ IMO.
Of course, I learned all my Van Halen on a Les Paul
The Tele is kind of Porto-Wolfgangish
But the V is so shreddy!

Final decision....

Keep the Les Paul
Play the Tele
Shred the Shredder

Keep the Jacksom because, duh, Scott Ian & Jackson Custom Shop. It has to be a player and a screamer.

Well, for me, the attention to detail on the Tele is amazing. They got the paint job right. The quarter is under the Floyd. He duplicated the shape of EVH's hack job routing around the pickup and aged the cavity. If the same attention to detail was in the setup and wiring, that is a beast of a guitar. I would love to play that guitar. Seeing have two "metal/rock" Teles, I would not keep it.

The Les Paul is just another Les Paul with nothing unique or special about it outside of a weird paint job. The Lester is going in the chipper.

I would keep the Les Paul(favorite guitar)
I would play the tele (intriguing)
Trash the Jackson V just not my cup of tea
