Played a Digitech X-Series Delay last night!!

hey everyone,

I had an acoustic set last night, which went well and videos will be posted on youtube (and linked from here) soon. While I was there though, the last artist (who played after 2 punk bands) had an acoustic-electric and after he played he was messing around with a DS-1 and a Digitech X-Series delay. He passed me the guitar and I started fooling around with the delay and it's different settings. Maybe it was just my intoxication, but I REALLY liked it, it was a ton of fun to use, and it had a bunch of cool delay settings which I found quite groovy!!! Anyone here had any experience with them? Is there a better delay pedal with multiple delay types at a reasonable price? I want one!!!

Delay is one of many effects that I always have a lot of fun 'playing with' but I have a way harder time finding a musical use for. That said, I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I could get you a pretty good deal on anything Digitech 'cuz my uncle and some of my friends work for them...they're located here in SLC.

Line 6 tonecore echo park is supposed to be better but i think its more expensive.

Awesome, will remember!! Setting 5 was sweet!!

Yeah, and I've heard a DL-4. Problem with the DL-4 is it cuts the sound for a half second when hitting one of the buttons (or did when I heard it being used). The toncores look good but out of my range for something that I'd use for playing around. Line 6 makes great pedals, but I don't think I'm in need of that much versatility at this point in my life.

For the price the DigiDelay is great. It is loaded with features and it sounds awesome. It has approximately the same features as the Boss DD-6, but it costs a little less. I still think Boss delays sound more refined, but that DigiTech works great for me.
