Played the Best Marshall (IMHO) Yesterday.

Now I haven't played all the Marshalls, but I have played JCM800's (Ri and orig), 1 JMP, DSL's, TSL's, JCM800's, M4's, VS's, and the solid states.

This was a 6100LM Anniversary model, never heard of it, but it kicked ass. Tons of gain, a tight low end (unlike other the rest of the marshall's) lots of chunk and crunch, good cleans, and all 3 channels were quite usable. A very good head. Anyone else played it or heard of it? GC wanted $1100, They go on eBay for about that as well.

Sounds like a very cool find! I never heard of that amp before so I headed over to harmony central's site to see what others thought of it...check it out:

I looked into those amps a few years ago when I was looking to upgrade my amp at the time (a Valvestate 8040 combo). The 1 I was going to buy was £400, and the JCM800 (that I bought) was £225, which allowed me to buy a cab too I do remember the 6100 LM being a good amp, but at the time I didn't have much money, so went for the 800 and cab
