Nice. How's that Rebel treating you? I quite like mine...

Can you back up any and use a longer focal length?

Re: Playing with my new camera...

This is a nice camera, but I'm going to need more time to learn about everything. It did come with a couple of different lenses: 18-55mm and 55-250mm.

Re: Playing with my new camera...

The 55-2550mm is a great lens for the price. It's no big white L lens, but it definately gets you decent quality reach.

See how the lines curve toward the center of the frame near the edges? (Window sill, floor) if you can back up, then zoom in, even with the 18-55mm you can get a more natural perspective.

Have fun. :)

Re: Playing with my new camera...

:scratchch That blue Esquire looks horrid.... firewood in fact, I'm collecting firewood at the minute :naughty:

Nah... all looks really great. :friday:

Re: Playing with my new camera...

nice gear! if you don't mind me asking, what's that yellow pedal beside the BB Preamp?

Re: Playing with my new camera...

Send that Esquire to me and I'll get it the white pickguard it needs.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that out!:1:

Re: Playing with my new camera...

Cool pic! Good lookin group shot but I'm partial to the blue one, too!

I got my wife the same camera/2 lenses....Can't wait to do the same thing after we figure it out...I guess we could start by charging the battery! lol

Is that one taken w/ the auto setting?

Unless he already did that...so that means the windowsill and floor are crooked ;)
