Please help me go over this checklist and see if I'm missing something

I'm decided, I'm going to perform a full electronics upgrade on the JEM, originally I was going to get a tremol-no but I like this idea better. I'm trying to spend as little money as possible without compromising anything. I'll be ordering pretty much everything from the axetec website So here goes:

New pickups: Irongear Pickups Dirty Torque and Blues Engine humbuckers along with an overwound Pig Iron singlecoil. Ill keep the stock pickups for experiments. Been wanting to try these Irongear pickups ever since I found out about them. I might write a review of them later.

Pots: 2 Axetec 500k Linear taper pots and an 0.022/0.033uf Orange Drop capacitor (not really sure about this one) Any suggestions?

Switch: I don't really know if this one is worth upgrading but I have two options picked out - a switch with enclosed contacts and a 5 way 4 pole super switch. Here's the link to the switches: http://www.axetec.co.uk/guitar_parts_uk_049.htm and heres a link to the wiring diagram(which has the 5 postion switch with enclosed contacts: http://www.irongear.co.uk/hsh_1_volume__1_tone_-_5-way_h-ss-s-ss-h_01.gif Any suggestions and a stupid question, if they're wired up like this are the humbuckers auto split?

Wires: Standard hookup wire and heat shrink tubing. There is one question mark though, do I need tinned copper wire?

Or I could just get the standard wiring kit but I'm not sure if it works for HSH, here's the link: http://www.axetec.co.uk/guitar_parts_uk_108.htm I'm looking at the first one in particular

All in all this should cost about around 100 Pounds.

This is the first time I'm doing an upgrade of this scale if this does turn out well I'll be posting a update.

Could you guys see if I'm missing something?

Thanks in advance

Re: Please help me go over this checklist and see if I'm missing something

The enclosed 5-way is sufficient, and the diagram you linked does auto-split the humbuckers. Superswitch is overkill unless you want something crazy.

You could use one of the standard kits, they're the same parts you were going to get, just one extra pot. You would, of course, wire it up as per the diagram you linked and not the one included with the kit.

Only other thing I can think of is you may need new knobs. There are two types of pot-shaft-knurling(sounds vaguely naughty) - coarser 18-spline Alpha style and finer 24-spline CTS style. I don't know what the JEM has and can't tell what axetec is selling. And get a switch tip with the switch to be sure - amazing how much the blade on them varies.

EDIT: Along those lines, make sure the pickups and switch have the kind of screws your pickguard wants - half the time they're dome and half the time they're oval.
