Please help me identify these pickups

Last November I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. All literature states that the pickups are Alnico Classic Humbuckers. These pickups are the pickups it came with. They do not match any picture of an Alnico Classic that I have found, and I cannot find a picture of a Probucker. The differences that I have spotted are:
1. The baseplate says Epiphone USA
2. The labels do not match any Alnico Classic pic I have found

The labels suggest to me that they could be Probuckers. Does anybody have any insight?

Welcome to the forum.

I sense the words, Made In China, looming large. Your pickups are of similar excellence to those offered in the majority of MIC instruments. In my opinion, you should bin them.

Somebody from another forum said they were Probuckers. Would you believe that they're not bad sounding? Even good? They are on par with the Duncan Designed pups that I've tried before.

Considering both part numbers start with PB I'm gonna go with ProBuckers.

ProBucker 3 Guitar HumBucker Bridge - 4 conductor
ProBucker 2 Guitar HumBucker Neck - 4 conductor

Maybe?

BTW, what is the polepiece spread on those? 49.2mm or 50mm? Or have both p'ups different spread?

Would you be so gentle to measure'em?

AFAIK Epiphone Probuckers are something like Gibson Burstbuckers. Here's the list of pickups used in Epiphone guitars:

and Probucker-3 has a very similar data to Burstbucker-3. People say those Probuckers are quite good. I haven't heard any yet, but I hope soon I'll get Epi with Alnico Classic Pro's which, surprisingly, are similar to Probuckers rather than to "old" Alnico Classics.

Imagine, if you will, the Tonerider Alnico II Classic HB pair, overwound by roughly five per cent. Have the baseplates follow the modern Gibson convention of twelve polepiece screw poles (B and N spacings), widened bobbin fastening screw holes and have the word Epiphone inscribed.

Tonerider OEM pickups are a world away from the previous Epiphone offerings. I have a pair in my Epi BB King Lucille.
